Previously, Dr. Ramanathan held senior marketing and engineering positions at Raza Microelectronics, Raza Foundries, an incubating venture capital company and Forte Design Systems, an electronic design automation company. He started his engineering career at Synopsys, Inc. Dr. Ramanathan holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Information and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine. He also holds an M.S. in Mathematics and a B.S. in Computer Science from BITS, Pilani, India. He has been awarded two patents.

He has held senior engineering management positions at Sun Microsystems, Afara Websystems (acquired by Sun) and Nvidia Corp, where he has contributed to the development of products like UltraSparc, Niagara, Tegra and Kepler.  He holds an M.S.E.E. from Purdue University and a B.E.(Hons.) in Electrical Engineering from BITS Pilani, India.

Prior to Avogy, Narayanan held VP Finance role at Shashi Group, a real estate investment and development company where he executed multiple deal closure. Prior to that he held CFO and VP Finance roles at iSmart Panache, a technology and software solutions startup with top tier clients. During his tenure at Panache, Narayanan lead the Series B round closure and supported the company’s growth from 55 headcount to 270. Prior to Panache, Narayanan held Controller positions at Cypress Semiconductor (NASDAQ - CY) for 10 years where he managed the finance function of multiple business units including product line with $400M annual revenue, manufacturing units, global product development centers and also played a key role in the divestiture of the startup unit to a Private Equity group.

Narayanan has completed MIT Sloan Advanced Executive Program (ACE) and holds an active CPA License in the State of California. He earned his BS degree in Commerce from Loyola College and an MBA from University of Louisiana, Monroe.

Prior to joining Avogy, he held key executive roles such as Founder and CEO of SVTC Technologies and VP of Solar Wafering Operations at SunEdison. Previously, he held senior operations and engineering roles at Cypress Semiconductor and Silicon Light Machines, bringing several CMOS and MEMS related products to the market. He started his engineering career at IMEC, Belgium. Mr. Bruggeman holds a B.S and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Leuven, Belgium. He has been awarded two patents and has published over 30 papers in the field of semiconductor technology development and operational management.
